My Personal Inspiration

{WARNING} – Personal Post. Sorry, I can’t help myself!

We talk a lot about inspiration…and I just couldn’t help but to share my daily inspiration with you all. Recently, my friend and amazing photographer Courtney Vickers came over to try and get a few shots for me because I wanted a couple of my little guy while he still had a little bit of baby to him…. I had photos of my daughter before she turned 2 and wanted some of my guy as well!

He will ALWAYS be my baby, but I was a little surprised when I got the photos back and he already looked more like a toddler than a baby. In the blink of an eye is what they say…but for me it was a click of the camera, I had no idea he had turned into such a little guy already!! My sweet girl will start elementary school next year and I just wanted to capture them…right here, right now, they way they are. I will be able to look at these faces and remember these days for the rest of my life.

They are my inspiration (and not in a “I want to work hard for them way” but in a “I get to see life through a brand new set of eyes way”). Whether it’s building a tent fort, snuggling on the couch, listening to my daughter sing about animals she loves as she drifts off to sleep, or my little guys smile when he knows he is doing something wrong….they are inspiring me….every minute….every day.

And this one makes me laugh….if you have more than one child, you probably know this hug…it’s called the death grip hug. It’s how my kids hug one another, it’s how they hug the dogs, and it’s how they hug us….it’s all or nothing with a hug like this….and usually someone falls over which results in rounds of laughter.

What is inspiring you today? Will you look at the world through new eyes?
