The Birthday Triplets Book

I am sharing something a little different this morning…it’s not a craft or illustration or printable…it’s a book. I wanted to share it with you because this blog is a place or all things party, joyful, and happy and this sweet children’s book has all of these covered.

Over the summer, I struggled a little trying to find good books to read with my then five year old. It seems that a lot of the books aimed at girls her age had main characters who were not exactly the role models I was looking for… I understand they are meant to be funny and it provided us an opportunity to discuss the difference in “stories” vs reality and why things the characters did weren’t nice or could hurt feelings, but I also realized I need to always be on the lookout for feel good books for my daughter.

Then I got an email from an author, introducing herself and telling me about her book series and I couldn’t wait to read it. After all …It’s called “The Birthday Triplets”, and we all know how much I love a good party! I am so happy to help Kelly share the news of her book today on my blog.

This is the first book in a series, and the one that introduces the Birthday Triplets in a very magical and whimsical way. I was pleasantly surprised as I read the book to find that it rhymes…it gave me the feeling of reading a book like the “night before Christmas” as the words were almost something that could be sung.

The concept is that there are 3 little girls (and a puppy) who believe everyone deserves a happy birthday (agreed, right?) so it is their mission to find those who are sad and lonely and make their birthday happy. The characters sweet and thoughtful nature, along with the desire to make a difference in the lives of others makes them good role models for small children. The book is full of colorful illustrations that kids will love.
