Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! I have to admit that even though the holidays snuck up on me this year, I have never felt more in the spirit! I feel so grateful for so many things this year that sometimes I tear up as I belt out happy songs on the radio (true story…don’t judge). One of the things I am grateful for is the amazing friendships that this business has brought…. I have met so many inspiring women who drive me on a daily basis to smile and be the best me I can. One of those ladies is Kim from The Tomkat Studio and I am sure you all know already that she is pretty cool, so I will just say that I am grateful for her friendship and support in this little business.
She emailed a few weeks ago asking designers {myself included} to come up with free gift tag downloads for her Holiday Gift Guide! I thought…what a fabulous idea! We all have our own styles and designs, so if you put them all in one place, people could easily find something that fits them and what they want for their gifts! Just check out the line up…
I wanted to do something different and push myself a little bit, so I decided this would be a good opportunity to play around some more with hand lettering. I am loving everything that has warmth and a touch of personality this year, so I love gifts that are wrapped with Kraft and covered in gold sparkles, and things that have a little punch of color in a warm design. I came up with a few designs and actually did two pages, as one is set up to print on Kraft paper (or colored paper) , and the other is set up to print on white #110 card stock giving a chalkboard feel!
I hand lettered all of the text on the designs and then digitally colored them. I would LOVE to hear feedback on what you think!

Hi Kori. Thought I’d let you know that today on my blog I feature your “Merry Everything” gift tags. I used them on a package of goodies I sent to deployed troops. So, your Christmas cheer made it all the way to places like Afghanistan. Thank you so much for generously sharing your talents.
