Last week I told y’all that I had the chance to play around with scrapbooking for the first time EVER! Lucky for me, I had the Close to My Heart Artbooking Bundle to use! I made a few little Halloween pages last week, and I had every intention of actually following the SUPER SIMPLE directions to create one of the predesigned pages in the booklet that comes with the bundle this time around, but I went rouge again. I really loved the Christmas pages that were predesigned for an 10″ x 8″ page and I wanted to use what I had, which was the 10 x 10 chipboard book. I rearranged some of the designs and I am super happy with how my holiday book is coming together!
I use the Cricut Mini, which is so super practical for me! I love that it’s small enough to pull out and put away nice and neat anytime I like, and since I don’t use it daily, I like to be able to tuck it into my craft cabinet when I am not using it. It also means I have to get a little creative to make a 10″x10″ page, as it cuts to 8″ x 12″. I think I handled it pretty well…what do you think?
You can see I brought the washi tape back out, and added in my gold bakers twine because, well…it’s gold bakers twine…I don’t need another reason, right?
I began page one with an artbooking stamp (there are 3 sets of them included!!) and a plea to Santa.
I kept page two simple with only one photo, but I added more elements and that fun twine! I started with a back pattern that had hanging ornaments, so I cut out other ornaments to carry the theme across the page. I HAD to add that cute deer…I mean, I didn’t have a choice. It’s so cute!
So, the fun news is that after showing you these pages I have been working on over the last week, I get to share the fun of the Close to My Heart Artbooking Bundle with one of you! I will be holding a giveaway for one on Thursday, so make sure to swing by and enter to win!
I plan to make several cute little books for holiday gifts…maybe you can too!
