Just Monkey Around {Real Party}

Several months ago I did some custom printables for a “Pink and Orange” Monkey Birthday Party! She already had the monkey invites and some other paperie, so I did polka dots and stripes to coordinate with the party for lots of fun printable designs including candy bar wrappers, favor tags, water bottle labels, and drink and food signs! We selected fonts perfect for the birthday girl, and when I saw how it came together…WOW! Hat’s off to MOM {AKA Tiffany} for an amazing party with a lot of DIY details.

I mean, check out the adorable kids table! Tiffany made the adorable ribbon topiary using online tutorials! I love the idea of the ribbon topiary for the kids table, it’s so cute and “kid safe”!

And what little monkey doesn’t want a lovely table full of sweets?

The details are so sweet, from the monkeys swinging along the sides, to the polka dot plates and napkins to the amazing cake!! There weren’t any details left out! Tiffany made the adorable party hats with scrapbook paper, pink festooning, and Paper & Pigtails Party Circles! We also designed water bottle printables and food labels! It’s ALL IN THE DETAILS!

Tiffany also made this tutu wreath from an online tutorial, I love how she used color to carry the theme from the entrance throughout the party and buffet!

And how about another fun kid friendly activity to make the day extra special?? They hired a Fun Bus!! I haven’t heard of these before, but I will be looking into it for sure! I think this is such a cute idea to have the kids get out and play during the party!  They got on the bus and had obstacles and kids gym equipment for them to use! I bet they had a blast!

When it came time to sing happy birthday and dive into the sweets, this precious TWO year old couldn’t have been happier…I mean…look at this adorable face enjoying her birthday cupcake (much larger than the OTHER cupcakes)

What a doll!Of course, you can’t leave this girls birthday empty handed…so there was a table of fun favors ready to take home so every little one {and every adult} didn’t feel left out! There were candy bars and sacks for guests to fill with candy, and favors for kids included coloring books (with pages of monkeys and birthday images) and personalized crayon packs.

Tiffany found many party items around town in shops and stores, and she also had a wonderful list of vendors to help her with this amazing party – Vendor List –

  1. for the tutu wreath I couldnt find the exact thing I wanted online so I kind of winged it – I bought a basic 14 inch styrofoam wreath from the craft store, and cut tulle into about 12-13 inch strips. I tied the tulle strips onto the wreath (knots on the outside). I originally was going to use both pink and orange tulle but it just didnt look as good so after every 25 pieces of tulle I tied a strip of orange wired fabric just to add in that color. It took about 3 or 4 rolls of tulle (cant remember exactly) to make it as I pushed them together really tightly too.
