In less than two weeks, we will be celebrating Father’s Day! I am a daddy’s girl, so I have always loved Father’s Day, and now I get to celebrate not only my dad, but the wonderful father of my children. When my friends over at Zazzle asked if I would like to look through their Father’s Day Picks for this year and pick a few out to review, I was excited to see what other designers had come up with!
I decided I wanted some personal items for my guys, so I went with some photo gifts! For my husband, I chose THIS design, but I wanted it to go in his “man cave” room, so the little flower didn’t quite fit, but I loved everything else about it! I especially loved that I could choose to have it shipped here already framed (any way I can keep from running more errands is a huge bonus!). I figured I could DIY it once it arrived to add something different than the flower and that’s just what I did!!
First, it was simple to create this design, as you could either hook up to your IG account, or you could upload photos! My IG is more for work, so I uploaded my favorite photos that Courtney Vickers has taken over the years, choose my frame and was done!
Once it came in, I knew it was 12″x12″, so I simply got a sheet of full label paper (full page sticker sheet) and created a saying I love “Dad, I know you have loved us as long as we have lived, but we have loved you our whole lives”. I printed it out, cut it into a rectangle, took the picture out of the fame, and attached the saying!
Once it was done, I put it back into the frame and it’s ready for father’s day!
For my own Dad, I went a little different and decided to do a large photo of he and my mom with all of the grandkids running to them. I then was able to have it matted AND framed through Zazzle, so it was gift ready the moment it arrived! I am playing with the idea of adding the same quote to my Dad’s on the photo mat, but I haven’t completely decided!
I can’t wait to give these to them in a few weeks!
