Easy Easter Treat – Toddler Made Peep Bird’s Nests

These are just the cutest treats, and so simple that my 3 year old and 1 year old were able to make them {with little amounts of help}! When I saw these from my daughters preschool teacher, I couldn’t wait to try them out! If you haven’t yet, you should…the kids love them!

First, you need a few ingredients

{Peeps, Chocolate Chips or Melting Chocolate, Stick Pretzels, Candy Covered Chocolate Eggs, and 2 pint size helpers}

Pour the chocolate into a microwave safe bowl and melt in increments of 20-30 seconds until it’s melted (or melt stovetop and poor into a bowl)

Add in the stick pretzels until you have enough to cover in chocolate. Instruct your (your childs age here) year old to stir them! This is also the time a little chocolate MAY start getting onto said “stirrer”.

Spoon small piles onto wax paper or a plate, and add the Peeps on top. (NOTE: One year olds tend to EAT the peeps instead of adding to top…this part is best handled by 2 year olds and over)

place the candy covered eggs around the nests and set aside to dry for a few hours and they will look like this –

and your kids will look something like this

and if you have a dog, they will most likely be waiting like this

But you have some super cute, super easy, little Peep Birds Nests!
